RustBust Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Hey all, Apologies if I've put this in the wrong place. I've recently bought this 2000 reg TD5 110 Defender 🤩 Being 20 years old she's in need of a few touch ups and new hinges... (and doors, but that's for another day!) Of course it doesn't have the paint anywhere on the plate, can anyone help me as to what colour it might be?! Its a dark green metallic paint.  Thanks!! Quote
Landrovernuts Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Cannot believe that I am writing this as I am colour blind, but it looks the same colour as my Landy which is Epsom Green. Obviously take that with a pinch of salt!! Toby Quote
simonpelly Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Hi There, Long shot - Folded neatly in the rear door my Defender 110, behind the trim panel, was printed the original build instructions. Old school dot matrix, alternate green/white lined paper. This had the colour code which help me. Simon... Quote
landroversforever Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Going on the age and what it looks like, I'd also say that's epsom green. Â Quote
RustBust Posted June 16, 2020 Author Posted June 16, 2020 Brilliant, I'll but the test bottle and see if there's a y joy... Any ideas on the best way to go about covering up some patches? I assume it will have faded some, but being metallic hopefully it wont be as obvious!? Quote
Peaklander Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 I’ve had a lot of luck with Halfords’ spray cans. Epsom Green and the clear lacquer. They are a good match. Quote
