Remote Buttons~What do the do?

Can someone tell me what the two buttons ar supposed to do? I.E left unlock and right lock? etc?

ah, Thanks. I can hear the left unlock but the drivers door wont open still. Can their be an obvious reason for this?

If i remember right, on Freelander,, you press the unlock once, to open drivers door,, and twice to unlock all doors, ages since Ive driven the bear's one !!

The left hand button unlocks The Drivers side and passengers side but only on the opposite side to the driver, The Left hand side. Any Ideas why anyone?

Can you translate that

If it unlocks Drivers side & passenger side how can it be only the side opposite the driver??

I'll try again, Sorry. If I click the left button on the remote all that unlocks is the passengers door and the one behind it.

Another Newbie here. I saw your post and my freelander seems to have exactly the same problem with central locking. Did you ever resolve what your problems was? I saw that nobody had replied.
