RufusXXL Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Hi, I am looking for a master brake cylinder for a Sankey MKIII (hydrolic). Does anyone know where to find one? I read somewhere else that this part comes from Ford? Thanks! Robert Quote

Guest Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Mk111 Sankey is a mix of parts I however don't think the brake cylinder is a ford unit the pads and callipers are ford from a Scorpio but the disks are Land Rover as are the shocks. It is a Lucas Girling part but I by the time it was produced a lot of brakes were at least servo assist including the Scorpio. One thing I have noticed is that you may not go far wrong looking at the left pedal cylinder and not the brake as it bears a remarkable likeness to a LR Clutch master cylinder so could be a Ford Clutch off something although not Scorpio Clutch master as this was fitted to the pedal? or similar, when I was refurbishing my MK111 before I brought a donor I was going to use a 110 Clutch master as the rod and travel and mounting holes were all spot on. Jason. Update, I have just found this.... looks even closer Linky just add the pot Quote
Retroanaconda Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Or something like this: http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/product/0.75_Master_Cylinder_With_Reservoir_MA75I Quote
Def V8 90 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I have seen one on OBP website, with 3/4" cylinder and it's good value with the reservoir all-in about £45 delivered - anyone know if this would do the trick? http://www.obpltd.com/obp-shop/pedal-box-ancillaries/master-cylinder-0-75 Quote
